Hello sports friends,

I am working at EUROCOPTER as a quality inspector but it is the sportsman who wants to capture your interest. It has been for ten years now that I am the organising person of “Les Foulées de la Soie” (the “Silken Footsteps”), a marathon taking place in the People’s Republic of China.

What makes this marathon unique, different from other ones? On Marco Polo’s traces this journey combines sporting efforts with a cultural program, always taking place in the first two weeks of August. Our motto: “If running were our sole goal, we would miss out on unforgettable moments” seems to make our thoughts in organising this Marathon very clear!

Conditions of participation:

This match is certified for:

- People, who work in air and space travel (production, repair or maintenance)
- People, who use the material/equipment from air and space travel, as well as airlines
- People, who use materials from air and space travel as working material
- People from supplier of the aviation
- Services, which work in air and space travel
- Personal civilian or military who use materials from air and space travel, pilots, mechanics, engineers at aircrafts or helicopters

Compilation of a group

Each group consists of 4 runners, from which at least 3 must originate from the aviation (see article 2). Each group can consist of runners of one air and a space travel company, supplemented by runners of suppliers or services for that society, or in reverse (women such as men). Each group can consist also of senior and veteran runners. The classification of the groups is not affected by the category of the runners.
